Hi I’m a new member recently put on Entrsto I was wondering what others experience of the drug is

Hello Mac,

Do you mean Entresto, a medication to treat heart failure and reduced ejection fraction?  I have noticed quite a few members are on this med and hopefully they will see your post and respond.

Would you care to share with us your experience so far on this medication?  Are you experiencing any major side effects ?  I hope not.  They usually start with a low dose and build up gradually.

I have been on it since beginning of April 2020. No side effects at this point. I am on a low dose.

Was on it from 7/2019  to 2/2020  at low rate with an ef of 30% then put on middle dose for 6 months with no improvement actually ef went to 26%. Then insurance would not pay anything . Because of not meeting deductable . Went from $10 per month to 545per month, switched to lisinopril at that point.. Had a crt-d put in 12/1/2020

I was SOOO happy when I finally was allowed to stop taking that, I had very many side effects, and no ilprovement of my severe heart failure.

Diarrhoea, dizziness, light headed when standing or sitting, and the worst of coughing night and day.
