PM has moved....After over a year

I have noticed in the past week that my PM has moved or turned. It was put in June 11,2007. I called my doctors nurse and she said that it isn't unusual for this to happen but to keep an eye on it, just don't touch it. She said she would stop in and see me when I come to have my next stress test.

What could have caused this to hapen now? I haven't done anything unusual. Ths morning before I got up I was lying on my side and felt a bit of uncomfortable pain coming from the PM pocket.

Has anyone else had this happen and if so what have you or your doctors done about it? I'm a truck driver and can't afford to miss anymore work than necessary.

Horror story

I had my PM replaced a few years ago and the physician did a horrible job. The pacemaker was placed right below the skin, I felt so scared every time I moved I thought "Oh shi# it's going to shift position or slip out of it's pocket" My insurance is crap, they would not pay for a repositioning. I went three years like that, eventually the skin just above the pacemaker degraded and tore, I COULD SEE THE PACEMAKER PROTRUDING FROM MY BODY, I went to the ER and spent the next month in the hospital, (The site had become infected) If anyone is suffering with a misplaced or wrongly placed Pacemaker, GET IT REPOSITIONED do not hesitate.
