How Long?

I am having an ICD implanted in early November. How long must I wait before I can play golf again?

As you have read all Doctors seem to have a different idea. My opporating Dr. told me I couldn't work for 3 months (lots of heavy lifting) when i returned home and got a Doctor where i live he said i could go back after one month. I started exactly 30 days after and had no ill effects. Bowlrbob

My Doc told me 2 months. I started playing 2 days ago after 8 weeks and so far have had no trouble or ill effects. I played two full rounds with plenty of swings. I have read on this site of people restarting golf anywhere between 4 and 12 weeks with most being at least 6 weeks. Check with your Doc. You certainly don't want to pull a lead and have to start all over again.
