Hello Lana - sorry you're feeling so sore and generally knocked about, but it's very early days yet. I'll bet all you want is to be in bed and resting but are even too sore for that! It will go - give it time - there's no way of knowing how long it will take. I'd by PM put in on 24th April, and I still feel tender around the ribs and can touch sore places on my abdomen and at the top of my arm. However, the scar's healed and all the external bruising's subsided. I'm astonished because I thought it couldn't possibly ever heal. I still feel weary at times - it hits me out of the blue - a bit like that feeling after you've had flu when suddenly it feels as though it's come back again after many weeks. Take some painkillers and rest as much as you possibly can. I shall be thinking of you. I hear from a friend in Dallas the weather's very hot and muggy so I'm not surprised to hear you're overheated. Do let us know how you're feeling tomorrow.

heat

yes of course the heat and humidity don't help but you will be exhausted and sore for awhile. it takes a good 3 months to seriously heal. i was worried too but can see now i had been very ill and my body was rejuvenating afterwards. lots of sleep fluids and good healthy food. keep us informed. jessie

I am speaking of heat in my body.
Chest, around back and under arms.
The rest of my body isn't this way.
It feels like it may have a little fever in it too.

Hot Stuff!

Lana, if you're worried about this feeling of heat in your upper body, I should see your doctor. It's probably something quite innocent and associated with trauma, etc. However, it would be wretched for you to worry about it unnecessarily and worry will hamper your recovery. Also, in the remote chance it's caused by some kind of infection, then the sooner it's dealt with the better. Do you feel particularly unwell, or is it simply an unpleasant sensation of itself? Do hope it can be explained and sorted out very soon.

just a thought

i had an area on my leg that felt like it was burnng for quite awhile after the p.m. i had been restrained and put on a respirator for a few hours. i don't know if this contributed but i rarely get this now almost a year later but at first a lot. jessie
