pacemaker for sss

I am 4 1/2 weeks post op.  I have started back to yoga and pilates, can anyone tell me if it's too soon to start doing planks and slowly lifting my arm over my head?

I have been a triathlete for overe 30 years and came into the surgery very fit. I am a woman of 67 years old.

what did your doctor say?

Some don't have any arm restrictions, some say as much as 2-3 months, tho 4-6 weeks is the more common so you are right on the cusp. I'd run it by the doctor first then ease into it and see how you feel. If something doesn't feel right, back off and try again in a few days. Planks should be safe now, tho it may not feel too good just yet.

Expect to aggravate the new scar tissue when you get started. This is perfectly normal! Ice helps.

I would still ease into things gently, & listen to what your body is telling you! Good luck.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
