I have an ICD & I just gave birth to a baby boy!

Hi everybody! I'm 34 years old, survived a cardiac arrest (Dec 2018), was diagnosed with Arrhythmogenic Mitral Valve Prolapse, got an ICD (Jan 2019) and...I just gave birth to a healthy baby boy on January 28th, 2020!! I'm one happy and grateful first-time momma!

It's kinda surreal to think that the same heart that my baby listens to (and finds comfort in), is the same heart that failed me just over a year ago!

I just thought I'd put it out there in case there's anyone who has an ICD and is planning on having a baby. It's very possible and I'm happy to answer any questions :) Just message me!

Lildanishgirl and I send my best wishes too to you, to the father and to your healthy baby boy.  This is just the beginning of your life and there will be so much to enjoy along the way.
