like why you had ICD implanted? Hopefully you have consulted a doctor for advice and had a thorough check of your device ? Were you aware of experiencing any symptoms at all, like breathlessness, chest pain, dizziness, weakness, palpitations beforehand to indicate that all was not well ?
Islandgirl thank goodness your ICD fired appropriately. Have you ever experienced a misfiring of your device for no apparent reason ?

Mine revived me from a cardiac arrest about 5 weeks ago with 4 shocks, 3 from VFib. I've had mine just over 3 years and has paced me out of many ventricular arrhythmias.
