Hi I just wondered if anyone knew if sitting in a Karaoke booth is ok with a pacemaker?
Thankyou

It was a serious question as to wether the equipment used could interfere with the pm
And I gave a sort of serious answer!

Seriously, there is very little kit that you will come into contact with in normal living that can interfere with your PM.
Welding, use of magnets to lift cars at a crushing plant, TENS units in the chest area and bathroom scales that claim to measure your body fat composition are the things to avoid. You need to be closer than about 6inches for sources of electrical energy like magneto ignition systems (gasoline-powered chain saws, leaf-blowers, lawn mowers) for these to be a concern, ditto induction hobs. Hand-held wands used by Security staff at airports and big events shouldn't be held over the PM.
Other than that, it's all urban myths and nonsense. Your modern PM will be fine.
HTH.
Thankyou

Because of the loud noise?

Or the powerful magnets in the loudspeakers? Or the slightly out-of-tune singing?
Seriously though: what's the concern here?
