need advise

Hi everyone,
I have just had my six month routine check up at the PM clinic.
The doc tells me that I am in Atrial Fibrillation 38% of the time.
The PM is working only 2% of the time. He wants to treat me with warfin(blood thinner) as a precaution for stroke and then do a direct-current cardioversion. Has anyone in the club had this proceedure and was it successful?
Any help or thoughts on this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Gary

Atrial Fib support group for Gary

Gary,

There is an excellent support group
afibsupport@yahoogroups.com.

I learned of the PM club from the afib group.
Many of our members have had cardioversion and can comment upon all the current treatments for afib.

My suggestion to all is to immediately take a dietery supplement of
Magnesium.

I take Calcium & Magnesium with Vit D every day. Nearly every fibber supports having enough required minerals on board to allow the heart's electrical system to function.

Good luck.

Maestro.

I have had Cardioversions & some good results. I have spoken with several people who have had great results with CV's. It is scary but they put you out really fast & come out of it really fast with no discomfort. Worth a try & hopefully you will have a great results. Coumadin is necessary to prevent strokes. I am on it & you just need to get good education on this med.

Good luck,

Janet
