I was wondering if anyone had an issue with their lead pushing against their skin and causing pain. I had my pacemaker replaced and put under the muscle and the leads where also put deeper. but over the past month the leads have been surfacing and pushing against my incision causing a stinging pain. It is very uncomfortable. I saw my doctor who said I could get a pain shot at the sight so that it wouldn't bother me so much. But i'm more concerned about it coming thru the skin. It is possible?

In fact after the final "tweaks" of my pacemaker programming at the one year check up it is working so well that I forget I have it.

it was my surgeon that recommended the shot. i haven't done it yet as i'm concerned about the injection but i have heard other people getting pain injections around the site so not sure how much infection plays a part in this. but thank you for your advice. going to do a chest xray to make sure the leads are ok.
