Pacemaker update

To all that have helped me I say a big thank you for all your help!!!
If interested pleas reference "Told I need a pacemaker" posting
I have just returned from a specialist in arrhythmias and he reviewed my file and determined that I do not need a pacemaker..although the future may bring differern circumstances but not now. He said due to my heightened vagal tone and active lifestyle I am seeing dropped beats at night. The vagal tone he said is more active at night that is why my holter shows the delays only at night. I show no symptoms and he sees no concern. My cardiologist thought I needed one!!?

TO cathyrn and smitty especially!!! Who suggested I needed to see an EP and/or seek a second opinion I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH!!! IF it weren't for you stories/responses I would have a pacemaker right now and for no reason.

The moral of the story..seek a specialists opinion, ask a lot of questions, and go with your gut if you dont feel right about a dignoses and/or doctor.

You guys are all amazing people and this site is also.

THANKYOU!!

Martin,
I have been keeping you in my thoughts and am so happy to hear that things turned out the way you wanted them too. I pray that you won't have to get a pm but if you ever do this is the best support place that I have found. Keep us updated!

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker interferes with your electronic scale.

The pacer systems are really very reliable. The main problem is the incompetent programming of them. If yours is working well for you, get on with life and enjoy it. You probably are more at risk of problems with a valve job than the pacer.
