Colonoscopy with polyp removal

Hi All

A couple of questions on behalf of my Husband who had a pacemaker inserted earlier this year. Has anyone had a colonoscopy with polyp removal and / or a treatment for haemorrhoids called Ultroid therapy in the USA and Exroid therapy in the UK? John needs to have these treatments but is waiting for an appointment with his EP to check. Just wondered if any other pacemaker friends have had either treatment. x

I've had two and had polopys removed both times.  No problems.  They're just a whole lot of fun.

Thank you for the reply, my Husband has an appointment with his EP but that is after the pre-op check for the colonoscopy. So at least we know it is possible now. Thanks again.

Polyps vs flat polyps

I've had both.  If the polyp is on a stem, they can remove it w/ a wire loop.  They prefer to stay away from electro-cautery.

Flat polyps are more difficult& I had one that required surgical removal, including loss of the right half of my colon.

The worse thing about the procedure is the horrid beverage one drinks to "Clean the field."  Painless and Happy Dreams.

You know you're wired when...

You make store alarms beep.
