blood pressure

This message is for Tammy about low blood pressure. My blood pressure is normally low 90/60 normal for me , but in the evening my pressure will drop to 60/48 or lower. They have no idea why?? and yes I do faint. I have started to go to bed as soon as the feeling comes on and I will usually sleep a couple of hours and feel better and my pressure will be back up. This started with my pacemaker and has continued since i received it in 2006.I am still working and continuing along with my life as best I can. I would be interested to know if you find out any new info. Thanks ponyrider

I took your advise on just resting when I feel weak and it really helped me a lot. Thanks for sharing with me. I will keep you posted on what the dr. says next week when I go in. Take care of yourself also.

Your Diagnosis?

Hi, ponyrider.

May I ask what was the problem you had that lead your doctors to fit you with a pm in 2006? Have you been diagnosed with VVS/neurocardiogenic syncope (blacking out) or bradycardia (low heart rate)? These are 2 of my many issues that lead me to be fitted with a pm. My blood pressure was low like yours and would drop even lower at times, too, with all the problems I was having. Anyways...if you have one of these conditions, the pm will help but you can still faint and have blood pressure issues. Perhaps you need to be on medication to help control your bp and your fainting.

Let me know....I'm curious!

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
