Diabetic medicine

I have ben having Metformin 500 one in the morning and one at night, with almost good control on my diabetics. After the PM implant, I was prescribed Glymi 1 MG along with Metformin. I find that my Sugar level has increased, instead of reducing further.. Anybody has such expetience? I wonder which medicine shall be best along with Metformin, compatible to Pacemaker. I mean without any side effects of concern. Regards, DILIP...

The pacer doesn't have any direct effect on diabetes or medications we take. All it does is make the heart beat faster. However, the better circulation may make your dosage change. Or, more likely, the timing could be coincidence. The cardiologist probably won't be much help, you'll want to follow up with the doctor who handles your diabetes.
