ICD AND WORKING IN A POWER PLANT

In the fall of 2016 I under went surgery for a broken finger and shortly afterward I went into cardic arrest. The next week I had an ICD put in (The model I have is by Medtronics and it is a Visia AF MRI style) I have had no issues with this unit. The only problem that I have is the company I work for said that if you have a ICD you can't work at the power plant. There have been studies completed and some area's do have a high EMF. I have to stay out of area's that exceed 1 guass, the one thing that was noted when doing the EMF study, was that when the meter was pulled away from the motor's (6"- 8") the EMF level was almost completely gone. The company also has a policy on ICD & PM that you can work their, but not be assisgned a job that exceeds the limits. Just wanting to know if anybody else is having the same issues that I'm having.

Thanks

The experience of having a couple of lengths of wire fed into your heart muscle and an electronic 'box' tucked under the skin is not an insignificant event, but you will survive.
