There are all sorts of thumps and bumps within the first few months.  It takes your body a while to adjust to having a pacemaker.  How long depends upon what kinds of problems you had before, healing from any trauma during implantation, adjustments to new medications, and all sorts of things.  Another thing is the body healing from the implant.  Some people report "ant bites" type of feelings as the tissue heals and the nerves regrow.

If you aren't running a fever or if the site doesn't become red and painful, you shouldn't really have to worry about anything.

Hope your adjustment to your new pacemaker life goes well.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
