Hi I was recently fitted for a pacemaker as well 08/28/18 for 3rd degree heart block. I too was thinking about investmenting in a Fitbit or Apple Watch...I’m leaning more towards the Apple Watch because I have an iPhone. Not sure which one would b more beneficial!

I have the Fitbit Blaze and I sync it to my iPhone with Bluetooth . Now I can see a total second by second history of my heart rate for the last 10 months. When I check it in the morning, it is very reassuring to see the flat chart line at 60 bpm during my sleep and the up and down chart during the previous day reflecting the rate response performance of my pacemaker.  This also reassues me that I am not getting any tacky/a-fib episodes. Personally, I would recommend anyone with a pace maker to do this. A side benefit is a very informative chart displaying my 💤 sleep cycle as well as steps/calories/miles etc.A very wise and one of the best investments you can make👍👍

thanks Roger, that is helpful. I have only had the pacemaker for just over a week so just trying to figure out whats what.

I have Sick sinus syndrome and so far feel good and really want to get back to more activity and excercise but am told to wait until my 6 week check up.

You know you're wired when...

Your pacemaker receives radio frequencies.

I love this new part of me, and very, very thankful that this technology exists and I know that it's all only going to get better over time.
