Did most of you use a scar cream after implantation? And, for those who did, when is the best time to start using it and which one do you recommend? I am 6 weeks out from implantation and forgot to ask my EP about this.
Thanks.

advice from a plastic surgeon
by Tracey_E - 2018-09-27 19:30:19
I started at 4 weeks, when it was fully healed. I asked a plastic surgeon, she said she could sell me something expensive but it wouldn't work any better than what I can buy at the drug store. She said keep it out of the sun for the first year and use something so to keep it hydrated is key, doesn't much matter what we use as long as it's natural. So, vitamin e ointment, aloe, coconut oil, cocoa butter are all good choices.

Thanks! Off I go to the drugstore. Now that it is healed the skin just feels tight so hydrating makes sense.

A pacemaker completely solved my problem. In fact, it was implanted just 7 weeks ago and I ran a race today, placed first in my age group.
Bio oil

I used Bio Oil, from about 6 weeks after, when the skin had healed. I rubbed it in most days for months, but after that it is almost invisible now.
