Smitty I remember my questions about A-Fib. It was the first question I asked the doctor so before I forget I am going to start with that. He told me that A-Fib is not caused exactly from the pm itself but it is from what I was having problems with before I got my pm. So they took pretty much all of my SA Node in June so I am more sensitive to getting A-Fib now. He said that they will have to adjust it over time and it will just change sometimes. I found that interesting. I still have a lot more of learning to do about A-Fib yet.
The doctor also told me that my pm was placed ok but my leads are positioned a little different. I have full signal still so I should be okay. The spasms were different b/c they weren't going directly the same as my beat. He changed a lot of the settings and decided that a rate of 60 would be better for me to prevent as many spasms. They determine my lack of energy is due to my rate only being at 70 all the time. So as I understand reducing it to 60 will mean my heart will also go up a little more it was 80 the other day and that felt weird. They couldn't see or detect that I have a tear but he said that it is still possible. That if my spasms are not gone by dec. that I should have it replaced.
I don't understand my P Wave issue where I hardly have one at all now. He was talking something about that I have a built up scar tissue that no matter what over time my leads will have to be changed. Which is understandable... He told me that the way I scar on the outside which is pretty bad that it scars ten times worse on the inside. I found that interesting.
I think that is all for now that I can remember. Thanks to all of you for the prayers. I hope all of you are doing well and soon I will be back on this more regular.
Blessings,
Tammy
Oh has anybody heard from Miss Valerie lately?

trip to Mayo

Tammy,
Did you go to the Mayo's in Rochester, Mn or one of the others. I was in Mayo's in Mn. in August and it is quite a place. Tehy nearly kill you the first day with tests, like you have to prove you have a heart problem!
I had been going to the U. Of Missouri hospital for 13 years and they found out more in that week than all my trips of being drug through the university system. Better equipment, and everyone spoke English!
Hope they helped you be more comfortable.
