I had a dual chamber pacemaker and defib. installed about 10 weeks ago. Pacing was turned on and heart rate changed from 60 to 70 back in mid june. Everything was fine until I got a case of bronchitis. They put me on ic bromphenir and a Ventrolin inhaler. I am basically off of those meds now as the coughing has subsided.
My issue is one of dizziness the last 10 days or so. It seems like sometimes I get up and move around and I am fine. Othertimes I have to stop after four or five steps and then continue after a few seconds.
Could this be simply a reaction to the bromphenir or something else? bp is 140 over 68 and the pulse at rest is 74 to 80 instead of the 71. I transmitted to the doctor but it is the weekend.

Probably medications

Everything is so intertwined that it sometimes is hard to determine what causes what. My best guess being non-medical but having gone through several medication changes is that it was the medication you were on. Give it a little time and see if things start to get better. At the very least you can say things were OK until a specific date and then changed after getting a specific medication. Changes in fluid retention and the lymphatic system can cause swelling in the inner ear throwing off your balance.
Hope you start feeling better soon.
