I'm reaching the end of my battery on my biventricular PM/ICD. I'm told leads are fine and won't need to be replaced. Anyone have an estimate of how long before I can resume playing golf (61 yesrs old)?

I was hoping someone would say I'd be back playing in 2 weeks or latest a month.

Consider it said :o) Assuming you feel good at 2 weeks, which you most likely will. Replacements don't usually hold us down very long, it's all scar tissue so the soreness is nowhere like the first time. I left for vacation within a week of replacement twice, once was hiking, the other was Key West. I didn't get in the ocean, other than that did what I wanted.

Just reporting back. The surgeon made me not play golf or hockey for 4 weeks. He said once 4 weeks were up I was free to do anything. I found after about 2.5 weeks everything was healed and I could swing a club in the house withot issue. I actually did it slowly as a test and then waited the full 4 weeks before I resumed gold. All went well.

when you want to

Restrictions with the first implant were for new leads. With a replacement, we can do what we want as soon as we feel up to it. When I got my last one, they told me not to get sweaty at the gym for 30 days, but that was due to infection risk, nothing to do with the pacer itself.
