If you are female, put your bra on in pre-surgery and make them mark where your PM will go to the inside of your strap. I have narrow shoulders and was worried to death about the strap going across my PM. My EP said 'just wear a strapless bra'........ha, that' s a guy for you. I told my PC and SHE told me to be firm and have it marked exactly where you want it to be. I got some hassle but it was worth it as I'm sure if my strap went over my PM it would have driven me crazy.

Seatbelt

My seatbelt bothered me at the beginning but as my pacemaker has healed over, I no longer have a problem. Most new cars allow you to move your seatbelt placement up or down. I go as low as possible because I am a 5'4" person.

I wish I had known to ask that. Bras & seatbelts are irritating. I made a pad to go under bra straps & that helps.

Strap

After surgery, a strap that bothers me is my car's seatbelt strap. I have a thin frame and the ICD is quite prominent. I ordered two types of padded seatbelt covers. They are available online. A baby pillow works better for longer trips.
