Hello Friends,
This morning I was laying on my side in bed, and I felt my pacemaker move sideways into my chest (I am a woman). It was a very weird and uncomfortable feeling enough for me to yell. Then when I rolled back over straight, I could've sworn I felt it "popping" back into place and again, just a REALLY weird sensation. That area has felt extremely uncomfortable all day and I don't know if it is just in my head or if something actually happened to it. It has never moved like that before and I lay on my side very often. Please help!
Thanks

Movement

I have an ICD that is physically larger than a pacemaker. The ICD moves a little when I hang upside down at the gym, so I put a hand over it to steady it against my chest. When I run fast, it hurts a little as I bounce so I put my hand over it. It crowds my left arm when in bed so I use a baby pillow by my left arm and chest. I never experienced what you have, so recommend discussing with your cardiologist or EP who installed your PM.

hey,
the pocket the pacemaker in is very small there isn’t much room for it to move and it is also anchored down. But I have laid on my side and felt it pushed at weird angles etc and it does feel odd and not very nice. My site gets sore when I excerise but I have been told this is okay as long as there is no signs of infection. Maybe try to speak to ur clinic?
