Pain

Had my Medtronic MRI safe pm put in 5-15-18. 4 days in the hosp. for meds to be adjusted.I feel sore which I guess is normal.  1st 2  days at home seemed ok. But starting last night I am getting a stabbing pain on my left front side where the chest and abdomen meet. Really only happens when I am standing/walking. Trying to go for a walk seems impossable now. It's a pretty sharp pain, takes my breath away sometimes. Any ideas? Thanks.

I did have some pain after surgery.  Extra strength Tylenol helped a little.  I never had stabbing pain when standing or walking.  Recommend calling your doctor.

Am back in the hospital. They are doing more test. Not sure what the problem is... maybe a wire tubing a nerve.

Update please

Going to the hospital was the best thing to do.  May I ask that you update your posting on how you are doing and the results of your hospitalization?  Thanks.

Well I got out of the hosp. today. Been back in since lats Sunday. They had to pull the pacemaker back out and replace the bottom lead. It was the screw in style and had gone thru the hart muscle and was shocking the bag your hart sits in {not sure what it's called} as well as a large neve that runs on the side of your body. VERY painfull. THe new style is round with hooks sticking out of it. It will just sit on the bottom of my hart. They put 3 I V ports in me just in case. They were worried about me bleeding out from the hole and kept me an xtra day due to that. I am exhuasted after spending nearly 2 weeks in the hosp. I hope everything works out now. I am over this already. Just want to feel better. Thanks for letting me vent. BTW I have a huge bruse right in the middle of my chest. Anybody else get this. it's from the 1st pace maker. Thanks.

So glad

LAW,

So glad they discovered the problem and got it fixed!

Trauma to the middle of your chest from what you have been through is probably par for the course.  But I don't really know.

I never had a problem like what you have been through.

Wishing you a stable recovery without further complications!
