Post op activities using right arm

Are there any restrictions using the opposite arm post op. I.e  hoovering, carrying etc

Keep the arms moving

No. Use the arm as much as you need to. On the affected side, be sure to let  the arm move naturally--just don't lift anything heavey or raise it above your head for a couple of weeks.

After surgery

I was told after my ICD surgery to keep my left arm close to my body for 2-3 weeks.  My ICD is on my left side.  But my right arm was good to go.

 

Opposite arm

I was not given any restrictions on the opposite arm, used it lots and did well.
