Thank you Paul, I also went for my first walk out yesterday after having dressings changed I think I'm just over thinking things at the minute,
Good luck with your recovery too x
You know you're wired when...
You have a 25 year mortgage on your device.

Hello Gill.
Say, I just had my device implanted 7 days ago today (Tuesday). I also had a different device (LINQ recorder) removed from a different location, so I got some extra holes, patches and stitches.
In response to your question, here goes. It was explained to me that there are some self-dissolving internal stitches (at least for me). The big tinfoil-silver patch they covered up both of my wounds with were falling off on their own here lately, several days in advance of when they said to come in and have them removed.
As they were just dangling, I pulled them the rest of the way off and simply covered the areas with some non-stick gauze, tape and large waterproof band-aids so I could shower.
I think I was feeling the tinfoil patch pulling/tugging/pinching and somewhat restricting my movement, which was probably what lead to it coming off sooner than later. You may indeed be feeling your interior/exterior stitches, and or you may be feeling something from the patch or bandage causing irritation as well.
I guess if it feels odd, see if it does not feel better when you go back in to have it looked at when they pull the patch off. Otherwise, I suspect we may indeed feel a defined "pinch" from the stitches and such yet for several more weeks.
If it's any conciliation, I am left-handed, and 7 days out here, I am pretty mobile with the left hand/arm already but being careful. I feel pretty good. Today was the first I got out for a walk, and went 8 blocks round-trip, which historically is a long way for me. I'm going again tomorrow too!
Hope your recovery goes well and you feel better soon. It improves each day buddy, hang in there.
Paul
