Hello :)
I had my PM put in just over two weeks ago. The past 4 days I’ve felt a twitching in my left breast (muscle/tissue) when I laugh or move a certain way.
Ive called the clinic and got no answers, just an appointment for Tues 27th.
Its making me anxious but other than that I feel well, even when the twitching is happening.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

When your surgeon created the pocket under the skin to put the pacemaker in, inevitably nerves were cut or irritated and as they regenerate they can produce all kinds of wierd sensations.
Pay attention to any redness, swelling, heat, pus or discharge at the site, or fever and malaise. These are the danger signs.
You say you feel well so don't worry. Be patient while the healing happens. The sensations will go away.
Not uncommon

I would only concern myself with twitching if it was "very" consistent and at the same exact rhythm as my heart beat. I had a perferation, which I gather isn't all that common, and that was how I knew; a muscle near my sternum was keeping time with my heart. I had pain and twitching myself after the revision surgery, a lot of nerves and tissue were disturbed, it takes time to heal.

I've had my PM two and a half months. Over this time, I've experienced twitching, muscle spasms, and many other sensations that I had never experienced or felt before I got my PM. If my sensations are like yours, they're not painful. And, as each day passes, I really don't give them much thought.anymore. Time (and maybe a couple tylenol from time to time) has been the best medicine for me.

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

I don't know for sure about the twitching, but I just had mine implanted yesterday and feel all kinds of weird sensations. I'm hoping/assuming that unless it's sharp or stabbing pain it's all just part of the healing process. Best of luck-hope you have a quick recovery!
