Checkups and Such!!!

Hello Everyone, Besides regular Interogations, and blood work, what other tests should you have?  Does anyone here have yearly stress tests, echo's and/or chest xrays?  Just curious, I know it may depend on your circumstances, but I want to be able to get the MOST out of my checkups!!

Also, did any of you have trouble getting employment AFTER having a pacer iimplanted?  I am a stay at home mom anyway and was not employed when I needed surgery.  I am also 58.

Thanks again,

Best of Health

Laura

Doctors vary. My old one did an echo every 2-3 years, stress test only when something came up, got a copy of my annual blood work from my GP. My new one does annual echo and holter.

It should be irrelevant to getting a job. Unless it directly affects your ability to do a job, they can't ask health questions.

Thank You!

I was just curious to see if I was missing out on tests.  I get blood work, interrogation, and my GP ordered the echo.  I am on meds for cholesterol and blood pressure and I need routine blood work for that.

Appreiate your reply.

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
