I was taken to the ER two weeks ago after I collapsed. My cardiologist tweaked my pacermaker because he said my heart wasn't pumping fast enough to supply the amount of blood I needed. Also, after years of complaining I couldn't breath, they finally told me I needed oxygen. My problem is ever since my pacemaker was tweaked, I've been having chest pains. I have unstable angina and had a heart attack in 2009. But I've been doing great with no chest pains for a long time. Could this tweak be the cause of them? I thank all of the great people on here.

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

Whether or not the pacemaker tweaks are the cause, if you're having chest pains after being pain free "for a long time" it's a significant change in your condtion and you need to tell the doc.
I am curious though. Did they increase your heart rate? From what to what? How did you feel immediately after the tweak?
