and still in the hospital. Went in to surgery at 1:15 yesterday and was back in my room at 3:30. It hurt when I took a deep breath so they gave me Tylenol.
The rate drop response was set too sensitive so that when I tried to sleep, my pacer kicked in and paced me at 100 bpm for two minutes. This caused extreme stabbing pain under my sternum. I got fentanal and oxycodone. This caused extreme nausea and I couldn't eat.
Pacer was adjusted this afternoon. I have been able to nap some and finally eat once the pain meds wore off. Now I'm just sore and using ice packs. It is a funny feeling when the pacer kicks in. Guess I'll have to get used to that.
Unless there are any surprises overnight, I should be released tomorrow. They even let me keep my Linq loop recorder. I'm going to have it mounted - the thing saved my life.
Glad to finally be an official member of the pacemaker club.

Happy to hear you are doing ok. I'm still weirded out when mine kicks in too. :)
