FEEL THE PACE

I pace 100%. But.....I have skipped beats or did have skipped beats. I do not feel the pacing but I can still tell when my heart wants to skip and the crt-d stops it. It feels a little weird but I have noticed that my heart seems to have learned to behave better.
rare but not unheard of

Have they adjusted you yet? They turn it down after a couple of months. They like to start it high until the heart gets used to being paced and the leads settle in, then they can turn it down to the minimum juice it takes to get the heart to beat.
It's possible what you are feeling is the heart beat, not the pacing itself.

I just want to share about the quality of life after my pacemaker, and hopefully increase awareness that lifestyles do not have to be drastically modified just because we are pacemaker recipients.
With eery beat of my heart

I don't know whether it's normal or not, but it is possible. Some people are far more sensitive than others to sensations arising within the body.
I don't feel my pacemaker working. Most people don't. But then, most people are not aware of their heartbeat at all, except when it's pounding.
The real question is, is what you feel significant? When you go in for pacemaker interrogation, ask the tech. You can watch the screen and see if what you feel correlates with the pacemaker activity of if it's something else.
