I think they made me worse :(

I am a 54yr old male... I was hypertensive and 3yrs ago I had a TIA.. A week after returning home I recieved a call from the hospital to say.. the results of the heart  monitor show'd  7 second pauses in my heart.. and I required a pacemaker.. and could I be there within the hour.

About 5 days after the OP I was re-admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties, chest pains, pluracy etc.. Then released about a week later..

I've always been pretty active.. Rock climbing, Hill walking, Judo, Scuba diving etc.. However since the operation:

I find myself unable to stand for longer than say 4-5 min.

I can walk no more than 50-75 mtrs without needing to rest for 10 min..

If I carry a bag of shopping 50ft from the car I will curl up in a ball on the floor exausted for 20 min unable to talk.. desperate to breath..

Usually my legs go first.. but I can continue to do things.. sitting on the floor.. until I have to lay flat.

I had to ban myself from driving and have spent the vast majority of the past 3yrs confined to a chair..

I get breathing difficulties, IBS, anxiety and TIA type issues...

I had assumed that I have ME / Chronic fatigue syndrom / Thyroid problem or Vitamin D deficiency...

All these symptoms started almost immediately following the pacemaker OP, But I litterally didn't imagine a possible pacemaker problem until late last night..

Now I see that there is such a thing as pacemaker syndrome..

Please someone tell me there is a way out of this nightmare..
