One year with a Medtronic pacemaker. My blood pressure is slightly low and I do not take any meds. Recently I have fainted after bending over and standing up. Rate Drop Response feature is currently turned off. Tech thinks turning it on would correct the problem. Has anypne had a similar situation?

Rate Drop

Thanks for information. We may have a similar problem, mine being more severe. Rate drop response was turned on yesterday afternoon. I performed some yard work involving bending over quite a bit and I felt good. Ready to get more active.

It made a HUGE difference in my life. Once I got it, I was finally able to run, and ride my bike long distances.

I haven't had that particular problem, but I have rate drop response turned on because sometimes I have sudden plummets in rate when I work out. Fixed it perfectly. There are no downsides to turning it on. It just means that if the rate suddenly goes down too quickly, it kicks in with pacing to keep the rate level. It will let the rate come down naturally after exertion, it only kicks in if it drops suddenly.
