MY KIDS AND I

Hello to all my friends! I'm going to share something my kids and I did this weekend. The other day I saw a Beaver going under the house. I told my kids about it and sure enough they wanted to catch it. I was a little skeptical but went on with the mission. We made a trap with some old fencing. We made it with a trap door.................WOW, the kids said. It was raining that evening and after I made the trap we sat down to figure out what kind of food beavers eat. My daughter said lets give it some fish so we took a bowl and put a fish on it. My son said let give it celery so we added some celery. I then went out to place the trap where the beaver was hiding. As I was getting closer to the hole where the beaver would come out. My daughter start to cry. I said, "Honey what's wrong"? She says, " Daddy, I don't want the beaver to eat you". I laughed to myself and told here that beavers don't like Daddy's. I realized my life is not mines but it belong to my children and when my daughter reacted with such fear, it really inspired me to find a way to live. I personally ask Jesus to help with a supernatural healing. No beaver in the world will ever eat daddy. Children are so in need of us parents and our fight to get better has to continue with the understanding that our children need us. Take care and God bless you all, Love Christmmpace.

By the way we didn't catch the beaver but my dog now like fish and celery, lol.....................:0)

they are are the most important asset in life. they are the reason sometimes for being. they need us to be there for them and it isn't only young ones but adult children still need us to be there as long as possible. it isn't about money it is about being available. it is about being able to pick up a phone and talk to us. good for you for seeing this value and realizing the fear she felt with the beaver and you. keep up the goodwork dad and godbless you. take care maureen

Thanks!

They can be our healing...and our strength

Thanks for sharing that story with me! First thing I thought of was my daughter and my grand-daughter. When my daughter was 10 I was hospitalized and she wouldn't come to see me. She did on Father's Day with my sisters who had flown in because I was so ill. My daughter and I had a little quiet time given to us and the first thing she asked me was 'Daddy, are you going to die?' I told her no, that I'd be home soon. Thank God I was! My grand-daughter was three when I got the implant and had to learn that I had a boo-boo that we had to be careful of. Every once-in-a-while she asks about it and just gives it a little kiss. "Does it feel better G'ampa?' YES IT DOES!

New ICD< got questions???

by Cdoster730 - 2007-03-29 08:03:55

I recently, on March 9th, had an ICD implanted (for V Tach} and my doctor told me that in Georgia, the law states that you cannot drive for 6 months after the implant. At the end of the 6 months, they will take a count of how may episodes I have had and determine if I will be able to drive. Does anyone know where I can find this in writing so I can give a copy to my boss?? My HR person at work told me that her nephew had the same implant as me and he could drive after 2 weeks. I am afraid that I might lose my job if I cannot return to work soon. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone - Can we please use the Home Page for posting new topics? When a new topic (as above) is introduced on an existing post such as James' it gets confusing. We don't want it to be difficult for anyone to follow the paper trail on a given topic. I'm sure there are others of you who would like to comment on the question about driving.

Driving

Did you have an incident or accident that occurred while you were driving? Loss of consciousness or disorientation? If that is the case, I believe in any state you would have to prove you are physically and mentally able to operate a vehicle safely. In CA if it is determined by a physician that a person may not be able to safely operate a car he/she must report it to the DMV; loss of consciousness is ALWAYS reported regardless of the cause. The license of that person is revoked/suspended and the person is required to go through the licensing process including a driving test. Is it possible that this is what is happening with you? I would ask the doctor to show you where in the law it states there is a 6 month period before you can drive. Did the doctor notify the DMV? You need to be asking some very direct questions. Check out the State of GA Dept. of Motor Vehicles online. I certainly hope you can get this sorted out. I drove 3 days after my pacemaker was implanted. Good luck and God bless.
