Your Cardiac Team

Just an FYI:

My experiences have shown the most completely understandable explanations for any of your PM questions come from your EP's nurse who usually is the device clinic nurse. Trust in her/him!

I agree!

I have not seen a cardiologist in 2 years...just the nurse who does the pacemaker checks...(is that the norm?) and SHE has been my source of information and has given me all the answers as well as a lot of TIME. Yup!

oh dear, what will I do

I envy your positive experiences with EPs and their staff.

Too often I have been made to feel like I was taking up their valuable time by asking for explanations, or that I was a tad unbalanced in a way that would make explanations dangerous for me.

I once had to swear I wouldn't get upset (!!!) in just to be given a printout of my pacemaker interrogation.

Thank god, when I need explantions of techincal stuff, I can come to the Pacemaker club. Donr, Tracey, and others can always translate into layman's language that I understand just fine.

You know you're wired when...

I am 100% pacemaker dependant and have been all my life. I try not to think about how a little metal box keeps me alive - it would drive me crazy. So I lead a very active life.
