Medtronix CRT -Heart Rate

I recenly had a Medtronix Vita CRT implanted and have noticed my BP will run over 100BPM 'just by the exertion of taking a shower. When I sit down it does drop normally but I never noticed this previously with my ST Jude ICD. Is this normal with CRT's to have this increase in BP with what doesn't seem to be a lot of exertion.

I just had a CRT St Jude pacemaker put in last week.

My GP noticed today that my heart rate is quicker than with the regular pacemaker.  He seemed to think it was due to the CRT working well and it causing slightly increased cardiac output.  He didn't take my blood pressure.

Im not sure, I really didn't ask a lot of questions as I wasn't thrilled to be needing it at this point in time.

i do feel much better though!  Yay!

How and why are you taking your HR in the shower?

Your HR should go up with exertion, just like a "normal" heart.  Mine goes over 120 just walking.

My eight year old son had a pacemaker since he was 6 months old. He does very well, plays soccer, baseball, and rides his bike. I am so glad he is not ashamed of his pacemaker. He will proudly show his "battery" to anyone.
