Bradycardia and unusual symptoms

I started getting symptoms a few months ago where I would feel very warm at night like I have a fever but a thermometer shows my temp close to normal. Sometimes I would wake up with arms and legs tingling and tightness in my chest and ache all over like the flu. If I got up and walked around I would feel relief. I have not fainted or felt dizzy but when sitting sometimes I get tired and find it hard to concentrate. Also I sometimes get a tickle in my throat but it never turns into a cold.

I got one of those finger pulse oximeters and noticed my heart rate was getting very low at rest. It seems normal when I am up walking around and I feel fine when exercising. When I sit for a while it gets down to the high forties. When I sleep it has gotten into the high thirties. Symptoms seem to follow the low heart rate.

My doctor and cardiologist don't think anything is wrong and that the low heart rate is OK if I am not dizzy. I have had EKGs, blood test and a holter test which all check out normal. I am pretty sure my pulse used to be consistently around 70. I have never been an athlete but I do exercise regularly and am not overweight. Age 55.

I was wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms before their PM especially the fever/flu feeling?

That sounds more like hormones or thyroid than heart.

Thanks TraceyE. I should have said I am male so I don't know about the hormones but blood test seems to have ruled out thyroid. Maybe symptoms from unrelated problems. I have a couple more heart tests coming up so I will see how they come out.

Side effect of meds?

For example, I get very achy, flu like symptoms when I was on statins.  I tried just about all of them and my body will not tolerate them.

Then it's probably not menopause ;oP

If you figure it out ...I would love to know.

I'm experiencing the achy thing too but mine could be hormones.  However, I've come to the conclusion it has something to do with inflammation.  I've also noticed if I forget to take flax seed for a week or so it comes on really bad.  The flax seed helps with inflammation.  I've also noticed if I skip the pool for a few days its bad as well.  Anything that helps with inflammation seems to help the achy feeling.

Thanks

Thanks for all the feedback. I am not on any meds. I thought maybe caffiene but cutting that out didn't seem to help. I may have an issue with apnea but I live alone so there is no one to observe me. My doctor said something about a sleep study if my heart checks out OK. I will have to try the flax seed to see if it helps.

apnea

If you may have apnea, you need to be diagnosed and treated. It's not something to mess around with! A sleep study will tell you. They can mail a box of equipment and you do it at home.

Thanks TraceyE. Will ask my doctor about that.

blood work

First I would think a complete bloodwork up would be done. My symptoms were just the opposite. Ok at rest exercising hard dropped my heart beat. After all the normal tests, 24 hour holter, they put in a loop recorder and within a month captured what they needed to put my pacer in.
