has any female had any experience of trying to get hormone replacement therapy with heart block? I came off it 2 years ago and want to go back on but my doctor wants the OK from a cardiologist first. I feel it may help my symptoms with palpatations and the usual symptoms you get in the menopause. I'm taking beta histamine at the moment for vertigo had this since my blackout which lead to pm implant think it might have been when I hit my head. Now at times I get short of breath when resting. I'm fit and cycle upto 30miles but get increase palpitations when resting after doing the exercise at night. I get the usual hot flushes and tried herbal medicine but that doesn't seem to help. Had my pacing threshold reduced which is better so not too many pvcs . Appreciate any input. I'm 57 female

thanks for the reply. Any doctors out there can answer this? Seems we suffer more going through the change and having a pace maker. Will keep you posted.

HRT, but can sympathise. I'm 53 3/4 and waiting to get my AV node ablated due to persistant tachycardia linked with my pacemaker. Getting lots of palps, ectopics etc and the hot flushes at night, and at the moment not to sure what will remain after the op. Yes the hot flushes but hopefully I will fianely be rid of the rest, then maybe be able to sort anything else out.
Don't see why you can't get HRT, no harm in asking, keep us posted as having the menopause is bad enough with out heart problems.
