Does anyone remember having some back pain from favoring one's left shoulder/arm after pacemaker installation? Just wondering.. Maybe I just ate something not good! :-)

There's not enough on your bio to say how fresh your implant is, but when you say you are favoring your left arm, are still under doctor's orders to restrict movement above your shoulder and no lifting? You need to be doing some movements or your shoulder will lock up and then it can be quite painful to get that loosened up. I had arthroscopic surgery on my left shoulder 15 years ago and that was a real fun rehab. Remember that if you are not moving your back like normal, it too can become sore or weak from having to compensate for different movement, or lack of, and different muscles are coming into play. I tried to move like normal as much as possible within the doctor's restrictions and when those restrictions were lifted I went for it and got back to full range of motion and can lift heavy objects. My back stopped complaining also, (but it was never from something I ate).

Muscle spasms?

Might be your back muscles going into spasm where you're favouring the shoulder and arm, I sometimes get it, and quite often in my neck as well.
