New guy
Hi all. I am a 49 year old male with nonischemic cardiomyopathy, an EF of %30 and LBBB. Two days ago I received a CRT-D device to assist with my Heart failure and provide some insurance incase of SCA. This is going to take a while to get used to and I am glad that there is a group out there like this one. Thanks.

I received the same diagnosis five years ago at the age of 61 and had a CRT-D implanted within two weeks. Every February 10th, I celebrate the anniversary of my new lease on life. We're lucky to live in an age of modern technology.
My EF was up to 45% in December, the highest it has been since the diagnosis.
Good luck to you.

I had quadruple by-pass12yrs. ago, 3 yrs. after that my ef was down to a 20%. I have had my icd for nine yrs and yesterday it started beeping, so I'm stuck I normally walk 3 mi a day and my yard work daily. Waiting on the doc to call back isn't fun, but I feel good about it because in three yrs. I have loss over 100lbs. when I'm given the ok I will start my regimen again. I'm thinking it will be replaced by it had 70% battery life and it being old also 3 episodes.

I'm 58 and have the same diagnosis. IF is a little higher. Getting my CRT in a month. I'm looking forward to it. Tired of being tired. Bought a new carbon framed bike last weekend for motivation.
