Pacemaker beating

I have had a pacemaker for over 15 yrs, the last being implanted in Dec 2010. I have never had this happen until after my last pacer check the other day. It feels like my pacer is beating, literally you can feel it on my pacer. I thought maybe I was imagining it but my husband & son both could feel it strongly. It doesn't hurt but is very uncomfortable. I don't know if my settings were changed last week. Has anyone else ever experienced this before or have any info as to what is causing this?

I have never felt this, but it sounds like something you should get checked ASAP............... It may be nothing, but better to be safe than sorry.

Muscle twitch?

A twitch could happen if there is an electrical leakage path form the connector or the pacemaker lead near the connector.

I think me too?

I'm not sure if this is the same thing but it might help to bring it up at an appointment to rule it out.

I can feel my pacemaker "beating" when my ventricle is paced and it is able to be felt on the surface as a kind of a strong beat. It is annoying but not really uncomfortable.

They can easily test for this by pacing ur ventricle at ur next visit to either confirm this or rule it out.

I hope this helps a little! The things we feel are usually pretty hard to explain so I hope you can find a doctor who understands what you can explain to him!!

Good luck!

I have been having similar symptoms of my pacemaker beating and it can be frightening at times, I hope to see a cardiologist and also to get it checked.
I will appreciate to hear your experience.
