confused

Hi all, ok so it's been 3 weeks since my pm implant, it's a biotronik and I finally received my monitor today, but I'm confused because I could have sworn my doctor said I would have a small device that I would take with me when I went out but no such device came, am I mistaken, does anyone have a device they take with them when they go out? If not than I guess this doesn't monitor you 24 hours a day. Again I'm very confused about all this, I did read the pamphlets, but still confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The pacer records everything it does and they download it when they do their checks. Continuous monitoring isn't necessary. I've never heard of anything to carry with us for continued monitoring, only devices that check in occasionally from home.

Biotronik

I also have a Biotronik and my monitor sits next to my bed and uploads my PM data at 3am every night. I was told when I went on vacation if it was 2weeks or less I didn't need to take the monitor and that my PM would hold the data but any more than 2 weeks I should consider taking the monitor. I have felt "weird" things before and called my EP's office. They were able to pull up the last readings and see if anything was out of whack. It never is, it's always in my head :)
