Any time now. Do you feel ready?

My surgeon ,( cardiolectrophysiologist, or whatever his title is .LOL), told me 4 weeks to begin with, the primary cardiologist said 4-6 weeks , and my PM tech (used to work at Meditronic) said 8+ weeks !!!!!!
I was given Carte blanche to do "as much as I felt able", after 2 weeks".... SO....I think a lot of it has to do with you, how you feel and the things YOU have to do in your life .
I still have days when I don't raise my arm or lift anything heavy,(my husband won't let me anyway). For me it has been 8 weeks plus since my implant...
Good luck to you

Post surgery check

I was told at the time of my op not to lift my arm high or carry anything over 10lbs for six weeks, until after I'd had my check, but to keep the arm moving to avoid frozen shoulder.

It's only another week for you to wait if you have the same type of review, but if you feel the need to start weights , I'd speak to the hospital.

Is it just left arm no lifting?

I thought you could do lifting with right arm and overhead if implant was not on that side. I have been careful. Little over five weeks and feeling good. I go back to work tomorrow.

Just a thought, don't do more than you need to...
If someone wants to help you for a while, let them , even if you can use your right arm instead.
Good luck

My 5 pound restriction was 1 week.

My 10 pound restriction was until 6 weeks...

After that...
I was told to only do what is comfortable to lift.

Hope this helps...
