Worried

Hi had pacemaker since August 2015. Is it possible for one if leads (wire) to overlap pm. It feels like this to me. Worried about this

where?

Are you feeling it on your chest? If yes, it's probably more uncomfortable/annoying than dangerous. Leads are often too long so they coil the extra and tuck it behind the device. If that's the case, it may have shifted.

It is possible, but as the last post said, should not be anything to worry about. Obviously, you should make an appointment and ask your doc to have a look. That is what he is there for. If it bothers you, they can fix it pretty easily.

I wish you the best!

Sincerely,

David

Leads

Yes it is possible. That happened to me and it looked like it was going to poke right through the skin around incision site. They assured me it would not have done that. I had to have a lead revision to fix it and now all is well. You should make a trip to the Dr just to make sure everything is good. Good luck and i hope things go well.

You know you're wired when...

You play MP3 files on your pacer.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
