Most of the warnings

Most of the warnings are there to make sure you don't reopen the pacemaker wound. Big chance for infection and other complications.

If you forget and lift your arm above your shoulder don't get excited about it, just don't make it a habit until the wound is healed. Same for sleeping, wouldn't sleep with the arm up, but if you forget, wouldn't get too excited about it. Same for lifting over 8-10 pounds. If you forget and pick up a gallon of milk, just don't do it on a regular basis.

After the wound has healed, you'll want to gradually work back into your exercise. The newly formed scar tissue can really hurt if you pull it.

Hope everything else is going well for you.

6 weeks for arm

Rather don't sleep with arm up.... I was warned to be careful for 6 weeks and no harm has been done by being careful for 6 weeks.... I was advised to buy an arm sling and I used it at night when I slept. Only now , after 3 months, can I sleep somewhat on my left side with support of a pillow. Arm has to be used to a certain extent though , in order to avoid 'frozen shoulder'.

All the best with your recovery!
