Well, I need to get with the times b/c my computer smarts are....well....not present. I have computer "not-smarts"
This "avatar" thingy...is that like a picture I can put from my computer to this site or something? If so, then I saw some people have it, but you need like a 10000 X magnifying glass to see what in the world the picture is, lol.
help?
thanks :)

Poor Susan,
What kind of member are you? You're supposed to know this site inside and out. shame.
LOL jk.
If you look under the "Member Menu" [mmm I'm hungry], click on "Manage Account".
Then, look under the "Optional Info" section, and there you will find a place that says, "Optional Info" where you can order your meal (or "choose a new avatar") lol
OH, and thank you for solving the mystery behind your member name. But..."queen"...Middle name perhaps? lol!! jk
Smitty, you just confirmed my analysis on how helpful you are on this site and how we all appreciate your efforts. I have a greater understanding of "avatar" now thanks to you. I'd be too lazy to look myself, so thank you :)
take care,

Hi Valerie,
When I first saw the word avatar I had to go straight to the dictionary for a definition. I may as well admit that my formal education ended when I left the third grade, so I have to spend lots of time looking up words. Anyway, below is what I found about avatar. It helped me some and possibly it will help someone else.
"An avatar (abbreviations include AV, ava, avie, avy , avvie, and avvy) is an Internet user's representation of himself or herself, whether in the form of a three-dimensional model used in computer games, a two-dimensional icon (picture) used on Internet forums and other communities, or a text construct found on early systems such as MUDs or currently on the wikipedia. The term "avatar" can also refer to the personality connected with the screen name, or handle, of an Internet user."
If you haven't looked at Blake's avatar, I think you will find it interesting and it may give you some ideas. You will see that the all powerful magnifying glass is not necessary to see his avatar.
I'm still working on what my avatar should look like.
