question please

Have done exceptionally well with now my second ICD, compliments of a 2004 heart virus. Last month, one day while sitting, I suddenly felt my surroundings fading as in nearly passing out. This happened again 3 times yesterday within a several hour time frame. I am always sitting when this happens, usually for about 15 minutes. My heart will jump/pound around at the time but with no pain though. After I lie down, the symptoms gradually subside. I am documenting the events for my next appointment with my cardiologist. Any thoughts or experience will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't wait until the next appointment. If you catch it quickly, when they interrogate they can see what the icd was doing at the time of the episodes. The longer you wait, the bigger the chance of them being overwritten.

Dehydrated? New meds?

thank you, Tracey

While very pertinent, I am taking no new medications, and I have always drank lots of liquid. I do have a scheduled appointment very shortly. It is, of course, harder to get not previously scheduled appointments with the holiday season. However, I am sure I can get my request taken seriously. I am also only 5-10 minutes from my hospital with paramedics right in the neighborhood, very fortunate.

I had not thought of a lead issue with my symptoms. I will be thinking of you as you have your procedure shortly. Please let us know how you are doing.
