Does anyone know what the setting on a St. Jude CRT-D should be that causes it to go into shock mode? Would there be different setting for different people?

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.

I have a Boston Scientific CRT-D but they all work in similar ways. Yes, the settings are different for each person depending on your condition and heart, your doctor will program it accordingly. There are many different settings and parameters.
There is also an ATP setting that will try to pace you out of VT before a shock would be needed.
