Odd feeling?

Hello
On June 10 of this year at 54 had pacemaker put in, not what I had planned for my 54 th year.. No meds have had AF about two or three times a year lasting any where from a few hours to the longest 2 days for the past 15 years. And then in June had about 10 episodes on feeling not so good, went to hosp. and they caught last episode on ekg and Dr. stated you get to have a pacemaker. Any way reason for posting, I have had one appointment with Cardiologist and two with pacemaker clinic, I get an odd feeling like a full feeling from my diaphragm up, never had it before and now get it at least once every day, they advanced AV delay, and said after power levels drop in 120 days that might do it, last time in I had only been pacing .02 percent in atrium and less in ventricle. So do I just need more adjustments, also usually get a headache every day which I never got before. This is a great site far more info than I got from Dr.s
Thanks for any info.

It would help if you fill out your bio information. Knowing the kind of device you have can help in answering your questions.

We have members who can chime in about the full feeling. That can be a couple of things. You don't say when you get the fullness feeling.

My PM goes into a test mode at/about 12:20 AM every day. Sometimes it wakes me up because my heart goes into a rapid heartbeat session. Why my PM tech set it at that time I don't know. So one answer to the fullness feeling could be the PM self check. Your heart may be reacting to the test and you get the feeling. That's just one possible answer.

As for headaches... For me it's usually dehydration. My PM is set at 60 BPM which is above my usual pre-PM speed. Consequently my metabolism is running faster and I need more water. At one time I was drinking 1/2 liter of water per 33 pounds of body weight per day.

Was doing a lot of walking yesterday and worked up a sweat. Got a real banging headache about 2PM. Drank a half liter of water and headache went away. Had to have a little more water than normal yesterday just because of all the extra walking.

Hope this helps.

I have a similar problem with my device (a Boston Scientific CRT-D Model N160) in that I experience the full feeling and rapid heartrate in the evening (many times around the same time). I have never thought to ask if my device is scheduled to go into test mode. Anyone out there know. I am scheduled for an ablation in a couple of weeks because of the problem with the rapid heart rate. Not looking forward to it. Wondering now if I should talk to my EP, or the Boston Scientific Tech.

It's a medtronic duel lead, diagnosis from cardiologist
