Do you mean a claim on critical illness insurance for work purposes?

Sorry , Roy, but I don't understand your question !
Here in the UK , as you know ,pacemakers are fitted free of all charges on the NHS so no claims are involved.
If you decide to have any health work done privately then you clear it beforehand with your health insurance company . If you don't have private cover but decide to " go private" then you pay cash from your own pocket.
Are you talking about having a PM fitted privately ? I cannot think why anyone would do that when the NHS will do it for free with superb aftercare.
If health issues related to an implant develop afterwards then it is your decision whether you go down the NHS route or go privately. If you have private health insurance ,only your insurance company can tell you whether they will pay for treatment or not.
Maybe you're talking about travel insurance. Did you have your PM fitted in another country ??
Please clarify , what costs you have incurred which you think could be claimable ??

pacemakers are covered completely here. we did not even receive a bill or a description of the costs. no co-fee yet but we pay every month from our pensions to the government of canada for this coverage so it is not exactly free. we are a small enough country to have this coverage. jessie
